Sleek created the perfect dupe for ABH/Limecrime?

APOLOGIES FIRST (I Know I am a hopeless blogger, please be patient with me):
SO. Again I am late from my "regular posting" and nope, its not because I have uni *because I finished that aaaaaages ago* its just pure blogging a bit, then drafting and then forgetting its not been finished. AND I AM SORRY FOR THAT. I will now remember to blog a bit more often now, I will make it so that I will have at the LEAST MINIMUM (yes I said LEAST minimum) for one blog post per week.  So people will be full of me and will eventually get sick of me (haha).

ANYWAYS TO THE TOPIC:
Here today I have reviews on the "dupes" of Lime crimes velvetine liquid lipsticks? With such little price to pay for a "higher end, more difficult to get product that will charge you continuously on Paypal even though you have paid through customs to ship from America - UK".
So, Sleek is a drugstore brand that is found regularly in UK Drugstores (such like Superdrug). It is a cosmetic brand that is famous for their highly pigmented eyeshadow pallets and trio-pack blushes. But because of the fast growing popularity of the "liquid lipstick" trend, they have decided to jump on that band-wagon and produce a liquid matte-ifying lipstick that would dupe some very well known high end cosmetic brands such like Anastastia Beverly Hills or the Limecrime Velvetines. Sleek created two lines of liquid lipsticks which considered:
1. Gloss me (Liquid lipsticks with a sheer/satin finish)
2. Matte me (liquid lipsticks with a matte finish)

Because of the all-so-raved about MATTE ME liquid lipsticks being raved and hyped about ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE and with their cheap price point to offer of just £4.99 per tube! I mean what is there to complain about to just buy it and try it out for myself?
So according to the hype the two most popular shades in the Sleek Matte Me range are:
(LEFT) BIRTHDAY SUIT - dupe for the Kylie Jenner Nude my lips but better
(RIGHT) "PETAL - dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Bambi"

MY REVIEWS:
I had in mind that the product would be as good quality as the Anastasia/Limecrime range due to the amounts of bloggers raving about the "perfect dupe". First of all the packaging is not at all that bad, and even reminded me of a product you will find sitting around the high end brands of makeup - it has a glass tube with a matte screw top lid. Once opened you will find your applicator - the worst part of the product over all in my opinion.
The applicator was like a dofer applicator BUT without the sponge and flexibility of the wand? (I know it sounds weird.. but it WAS weird). It was like a bit of hard plastic shaped like a dofer that picked up the product as it would and then you would manually have to move your hand (compared to letting the dofer take the shape of your lips). It did pick up plenty product though - don't get me wrong. Even with the tacky fake dofer applicator it amazed me how much it picked up!
But once applied the product on your lips. It felt creamy, after letting the product oxidise it became matte (as described within the product's name) and then left a sticky, dry residue? I mean it did bother me, because my lips are far from being dry, they have been prepped and moisturised and even on a normal day-to-day basis my lips never crack or feel de-hydrated. So matte products have never been a issue for me, but THESE matte me's really sucked out the hydration from my lips and left a dry, crack-look upon my lips, giving them a stickiness when the product touches each other from upper to lower lip.
It did disappoint me, I do not like lip products to leave me some sticky-after-feeling, making me constantly shut and open my mouth like some goldfish - due to the irritation of the product gluing my lips together! Even so the formula insinuating the cracks and line distinction within my lips (i mean who likes that?) I really did not like the product, and would rather pay for the higher-branded option with knowledge it does not do this to my lips!

(top two images) Sleek matte me - Birthday suit showing stickiness
(bottom two images) Sleek matte me - Petal showing no signs of stickiness

Don't get me wrong, for £4.99 PER TUBE, with high pigmentation and gorgeous packaging! I do recommend people trying this, but if you wanted something that does not dry out and leave a sticky residue, then I suggest you back-away from this and probably try the Rimmel Lip Lacquers! BUUUUUT. Overall I rate this 7/10 FOR:
- good pigmentation
- gorgeous packaging
- price.

Well thank you for reading again! And hope you stay on to read more!

GERARDS COSMETICS.. The controversial review.

CULT STORY AND HEADLINE:
So, the "current raved about" product of lipsticks and lipglosses! Recently Gerard Cosmetics (also known as Whitening lightning) was a brand that were aimed at dental care and achieving a white and sparkly smile. But due to their market expansion, they have entered into the makeup industry where they introduced lipsticks and lipglosses under the brand name change of Gerard Cosmetics (the name of the owner of Whitening Lighting)

These lipglosses and lipsticks were raved on as a "cult product" and were even reviewed by Youtube Beauty stars such like Jaclyn Hill (creating a lipstick called 1995) and Sophia Chang (creating a lipstick called Kimchi Doll). These youtube beauty stars were giving out near 100% positive reviews on the new product line Gerard Cosmetic had to offer - but the hidden story that none of us expected popped up out of no where.

A new "beauty scandal" appeared in which showed through social networking (On MannyMUA's Snapchat) of him recording Jennifer Gerard (CEO of Gerard Cosmetics) calling a customer of their's UGLY. This escalated quickly, enduring many youtubers to reveal the truth of their free sponsorships and reviews of the products Gerard Cosmetics have asked them to do.

Gerard Cosmetics have sent out numerous products to many youtubers and asked them to only give POSITIVE reviews about the products, and if they do not like a product, for them to just not video it at all. This then escalated to the issue of fake reviews on the products, luring us the CUSTOMERS to fall for and pay a stupid amounts for a bullet of crayon-smelling lipstick that can also hold a allergic reaction towards our lips.

MY PURCHASE:
I of course wanted to try out this new "Cult product - must have" that has been raved about on the internet for many months, due to this i have purchased three of their lipsticks (due to the fact they were in my budget and I was not fond of the lipglosses due to the tacky "light up" packaging and sticky after-effect). The three shades I purchased were:

(left to right)
1. Butter cup
2. Kimchi Doll
3. Nude

Yes, you all may think "why did I go and purchase three of their products after they have been revealed to be a scam" ... well I only found out about the scam AFTER purchasing and seeing as I have already bought them I might as well give them a try right? -give my moneys worth?
So during this, I chose to buy these from beauty bay (so there is no need for custom charges and all that) and I did swatch all three lipsticks on the back of my hand. They felt creamy and they were defiantly pigmented with a STRONG SMELL of crayon-plastic-cheap product of a lipstick. I am the person who is not really bothered about the smell so it did not affect me that much anyways, but daring to try only ONE of the shades I chose to try buttercup, a beautiful pinky nude that comes off as "my lips but better" shade. I wore this for two hours and my lips started tingling and then after creating a lump on my top lip - generating a allergic reaction. In absolute HORROR i took the lipstick off and threw all three lipsticks away.

I am disgusted with this, I have NEVER ever ever ever had any allergic reaction towards any kind of lipstick, not even drugstore MUA which is £1.00 a bullet. Where as here for Gerard Cosmetics i paid £11.50 FOR ONE BULLET which gave me a lump on my top lip and a horrible experience
afterwards.

For this, I am not following the "hate" group that is seen around youtube, but this is my honest experience in which I recommend EVERYONE NOT TO BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. This is not to boycott their company as I do believe that expansion into a another industry is really well thought-through but for a makeup product to give you an allergic reaction? I am completely shocked for this! And DISGUSTED.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY LIP PRODUCTS FROM GERARDS COSMETICS. FROM MY EXPERIENCE I AM TERRIFIED AND WILL ONLY STICK TO PRODUCTS/COMPANIES I AM WELL KNOWLEDGED ABOUT.

Be safe my girls,
& Thankyou for reading: kkaiy xxx.

Ripped tight skinny jeans = loving in the spring.

So everyone's been wearing ripped/distressed skinny light jeans about to show off them legs ready for summer round the corner!
Sadly I live in the United Kingdom where Scotland just had some showers of snow on them during May (considered one of the spring going into summer months). So yes, very miserable and unreliable really!
But any who's I just wanted to make a short sweet blog post about my newly buys of distressed jeans!

Mine are from American Eagle! And they are super comfy!! They are more "distressed" than your average top shop Jamie jeans but THEY ARE VERY UNIQUE! People say and think that American Eagle is a "high end" kinda brand.. But in my opinion they're the same as hollister/top shop due to their styles & price range! They are super stretchy as well and you can get these either low rise or high waist! I got the low rise as I've already got a pair of black high waisteds!
Beautiful ombré of dark and light washed denim - absolutely unique and not boring! These pair of jeans have been an icon to my wardrobe & Defo can't wait to constantly rock them out (even when it's gonna rain)!
**Little note for you guys**
American eagle are now having a 30% off sale for all denim (including these pair of distressed right jeans) and you can also get an extra 20% off by ONLY trying on a pair of shorts.. So that's 50% OFF! Crazy right? Go on an take a unique pair of jeans like these for around £20? (After discount) Defo worth it!

Anyways happy reading & I will get back to you,
Love kkaiy xxx.

Create Mac's "Stone" lip liner effect without using STONE?

Hey guys sorry about the very late/inconsistent posting.. Its been a very busy week for me due to deadlines and stuff but I can't complain because I have also been REAL lazy and all.. jhee. The lazy life is such a good life (heh ^^")
ANYWAYS back to the topic.
The title says it all really? I have been testing out colours and make up products I already have and saving money and resisting on buying the next big "hype" there is that could be offered. Seeing as Mac's Stone lip liner is also a fav alongside whirl, I wanted to re-create this colour without using the actual product itself - so you guys can also try this at home with the similar colours that I will be showing you next.
ALL YOU GUYS NEED ARE:
1. Mac nude lipstick in "Creme d'nude" // or any nude lipstick you have already
2. A fudgey/chocolate shade of brown lip liner/eyeliner // I have etude house's Play 101 pencil in 42 (very creamy consistency and i definitely recommend trying out the Etude House 101 range!!!)
3. A nude pink lip liner // I have rimmel lip exaggerate liner in 018 addiction.

FIRST STEP:
Put on a coat of your nude lipstick/creme d'nude.

SECOND:
Line your upper and lower lip with that pink nude shade lip liner you have, remember to finish the lip liner by pressing both lips together tightly so it distributes nicely across your lips.

THIRD:
After lining your lips with the pink nude lip liner you have, get out that brown lip liner/eyeliner and apply this ONLY in both corners of your lips, remember to apply it both on the bottom and top layer (do not worry if the liner looks too dark/too messy - because we will fix this up later!)
FINALLY:
Press your lips together tightly! This time concentrate on where you have just applied the brown lip liner/eyeliner to so that it really blends up the pink and brown together. If the look is up to your taste at this point go ahead and apply your favourite clear lip gloss to give it that shine!
But for me I wanted to tone down the colours because it was too cool for me, therefore I took out my creme d'nude again and applied a layer on the bottom of my lips to blend everything together! And there you go, that "Stone" affect that you may have cost you £16.50 or for free!

Thank you for being so patient with me!
I PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE not to be lazy again and update as much as I can!
ANYWAYS, keep staying beautiful.

Much love,

kkaiy xxx.

Healthy ice cream? WHAT?

HEALTHY ICE CREAM YOU SAY? SAY WHAT?
Yup, that was the exact reaction I had when I first saw this "internet craze" of how you can make healthy ice cream with just a banana. I first saw this on youtube from the famous Cassey Ho (Blogilates) where she created this awesome creation of a healthy ice cream just using a bit of almond milk, one banana and a spoonful of peanut butter.

I obviously went to try it, and guess what? IT WAS AWESOME. Even better than original vanilla ice cream, but for you banana haters out there, I suggest you get yourself some frozen fruit of your desire and make a sorbet - cause that also tastes as good as the supermarket ready made ones (even better with less sugar as everything you are putting in, is actually pronounceable).

SO firstly these are the ingredients to make this "cheap and healthy ice-cream" in my own version:

INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 Pack of ripped bananas
2. A blender (best to use a blender such like the nutri-bullet as with a smoothie blender you waste a lot at the bottom of the jar as it is difficult to get in-between the blades)
3. Re-sealable bags or any sandwich/small bag
4. Any toppings of your own (include chocolate chips, crushed nuts, ice-cream drizzle.. ANYTHING you want!)
5. 10-15ml of semi-skimmed milk

METHOD:
1. Take your banana's out of their skin by peeling each banana and cutting them into fairly small chunks (here I bought a bag of 5 ripen bananas from Tesco for 80p! Such a bargain)
2. After peeling and cutting the bananas into chunks place them into re-sealable bags/sandwich bags, and remember to place them equally in each bag so you can control the serving size - which can also control how much you can eat Everytime you make them. I have separated the 5 bananas into 3 bags as I'm making each bag a serving for two people's worth
3. Place the chopped up bananas into the freezer for them to solidify or leave them over night if you wish.

4. After the freezing stage take a bag of bananas out 5 minutes before placing them into your blender - this helps with the process of blending as the banana will have softened up a bit and ease the blending.
5. Blend the bananas till smooth, if they struggle to blend add the semi-skimmed milk bit by bit to ease blending of the bananas. After the blend they should come into a consistency of soft ice cream.
6. Serve up the banana ice cream into a little bowl and top with your favourite toppings!
I hope you've enjoyed this CHEAP yet YUMMY duplicate of ice cream that gives you more benefits than your original tub of vanilla ice cream!

Keep in touch with me, with lots of love:

New formula of ROUGE COCO CHANEL // review.

ROUGE COCO CHANEL has released a new batch of 24 vibrant lip colours in 6 separate colour pallets, re-vamping their original "hydrating creme lip colour" lippies to becoming a "ULTRA hydrating lip colour", they have increased the moisture quantity and hydration formula - in which I will expect HIGHLY off as their main selling point right now is how hydrating their new rouge coco's are! Going onto the Chanel website, the old rouge coco's are now not shown on the website at all - meaning only one thing! They have discontinued it, so if old lovers prefer the original's... well sorry girlies. They have replaced them with the new "ultra" hydrating ones.

In my opinion these new rouge coco's have got my eye! Their gold and black prestige bullet packaging and the sleek over-all look to it just grabs my eye. Not only this, but the gorgeous pigmentation from the first swatch on the back of my hand amazed me! They have a smooth creamy consistency which gives off a slight satin finish to the lips that lasts up to 4-6 hours! - real cute right?

I first discovered these from strolling around Selfridges, seeing the extravagant display that chanel often creates with their new make up lines, I walked up un-knowingly the new rouge coco's. First one I picked up was the shade 402 in Adrienne due to my love of nudes!

Shade 402 is found as a "Family - a tribute in understated nude shades" as quoted on the website. It gives a similar finish to Mac's popular Kylie Jenner shade Velvet Teddy in terms of colouration - but in my opinion is has a more cooler undertone than velvet teddy. Adrienne also has spots of sparkle within the bullet, but it certainly does not show off on the lips! instead it gives a nice sheen look to your lips and because of the hydration the lipstick gives and the every-day nude colour to die for! It is DEFO my current all day, everyday lipstick.
I seriously recommend everyone to try the new rouges! They really are a better fix-up than the old batch, but obviously watch your purses, as these are a hefty £26.00 EACH!

SO if you got spare £'s lying about, do try these!
I looooove my 402, and planning to get 422 OLGA from the "best friends - celebrated by romantic pinks" for 2015's summer!

Anyways! Thanks for keeping updated with me for more reviews
Love:
